Abstract
Absorbed by the darkness of the stage space, barely touched by the light, a table filled with the disorder of boxes full of catalogued and numbered reels (and its mirrored and asymmetrical double with its back to the audience). In the centre of the table, an old tape recorder, the visual epicentre of the scenography and the space. Krapp can be seen just behind it, busy talking to himself, through an anxious listening and rewinding of a reel recorded thirty years earlier. And it is as if everything re-emerges from the darkness in the present, in the here and now. The space floats and oscillates slightly as if carried by the rippling of the current of a river.
