Abstract

A site-specific Light installation, on an urban landscape in the La Boca neighborhood of the city of Buenos Aires, crossed by the Riachuelo River, featuring a magnificent example of iron architecture, the Avellaneda Transporter Bridge designed in 1908 and put into operation in 1914 (disused since 1940), an urban and monumental sign taken as a symbol of the port city. The installation is characterized by the symmetrical movement of a large pendulum of Light that crosses and oscillates suspended over the body of water while geometries of direct and reflected rays illuminate the imposing structure.
